There are many great ways to get involved in & be part of the the FBESoc/BE community, the most obvious being to attend any of the community events happening in the faculty or those organised by FBESoc. Any Faculty of the Built Environment students can sign-up to become active FBESoc members at any of the events organised by the society; when you become an active member you become part of the active BE student community.
There are also a number of other ways to get involved in the community, including staying up-to date of community happenings on this blog, contribute to the FBESoc community, discuss on the facebook group or academically on the dwiki. You can learn more about these ways to get involved in the FBESoc community below.
Contributing to FBESoc Community
Members can also get involved by contributing to the FBESoc community by helping to organise events (both social & academic) and helping to run society initiatives (like O-week, the upcoming newletter/zine or the blog). If you've interested in contributing & getting involved in the FBESoc community then send us an email with the title "Contributing" to contact@fbesoc.com. Hope to hear from you soon!
Blog
This is our community blog where we hope to bring together all the different aspects of the BE student community; including community updates, discussions, events, exhibitions, competitions, student opportunities and industry events. It's a good way to stay up-to date with BE student community happenings.
Design Wiki (dwiki)
This is our student community's peer-learning wiki that aims to encourage peer-learning, peer-support, cross-discipline collaboration, and an active academic community within the UNSW BE. The dwiki is intended to be used by UNSW BE students to share information and resources with each other. It hopes to provide students from all the different BE degrees & years with a means to share what they know with each other and making it easier for students to peer-learn.
Facebook Discussion Group
This is our community discussion group where we can discuss everything relating to the BE student community. This includes anything relating to fbesoc initiatives/events, community happenings, ideas or anything generally relating our built environment studies.
Facebook Page
This is our society's facebook page where we will keep you up to date with society & BE community happenings, discussions happening & updates from our blog.
