EXHIBITION: Now + When, Australia's entry into the Venice Architecture Biennale 2010

Just a heads up that the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) entry into the 2010 Venice Architecture Biennale, Now and When: Australian Urbanism, that is currently touring Australia is in Sydney @ The Object Gallery until 25th September 2011. The exhibition explores how Australia, one of the most urbanised nations on the planet, might let its urban centres evolve into the future. The NOW component of the exhibition surveys Australia's current landscapes through the presentation of photographs of major urban centres which contrast with open cut mines in regional Australia, documenting six urban and anti-urban landscapes in their current state. The WHEN component explores what our urban centres might look like +40 years into the future, exploring how they may evolve & what features will characterise them.

Over all a really good exhibition that I recommend everyone in the FBE see, it only takes about 15 mins to watch and raises some really interesting questions, as well as give you some inspiration for your own projects.

And did I mention the whole thing was in glorious 3D? Well worth the visit if you ask me..
